We are located in Newbury Park and service all of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties and beyond. We are a moving and storage company that does both Residential and Commercial office moves. Local & Long Distance - We specialize in moving Pianos (Spinet to Grand) and Plasma/LCD/LED TV’s.

Our company has been in business since 1985. We believe in the Golden Rule, "Treat people the way we would like to be treated". We actually try to treat our customers like we would treat our family! We try to simplify the moving process by offering one fair price that includes everything! There are NO surprises at the end of the move, when we present the bill. The total charge will be exactly what we said it would be! There are no additional charges for fuel, taxes or anything!

We started out with one small truck and the three of us doing the handful of moves we'd get each month. Now, we have grown to 3 large, professionally equipped, Bobtail moving trucks, One Big rig tractor, four trailers and 12 + crew members! We are now servicing over 50 moving customers every month! We now have locations in West Hills, Simi Valley and Oxnard making it easier for us to accomodate short notice local moving requests!


My nephews and I are all So. Cal natives. I (Lyn) was born and raised in Chatsworth and Paul and Gary were born and raised in Thousand Oaks. My background is in sales. My first sales job was with my Dad selling eggs, that we produced on our chicken ranch, going door to door in Chatsworth back in the late 60's. I went on to study Business Administration at Pierce JC and Cal State University of Northridge. I went on to sell Real Estate throiugh the 70's and work in sales and sales management in the automotive business in the 80's.

Starting in the late 70's through early 80's, Paul and Gary were working as movers for local, Conejo Valley moving companies and National Van line moving companies. During this period they were trained in every facet of packing, unpacking, moving and storage by the best in the industry. Now, Gary serves as our in house trainer for new crew members, showing them how to move the " BESTMOVE way"!

At our family gathering for Christmas 1984, Paul and Gary expressed an ambition to start their own Moving and Storage company some day and asked for my help. Over the next 9 months we obtained our PUC license and the proper insurances and on October 1, 1985 we opened for business!

We are grateful for having professional, well trained moving crew members working for us at  BESTMOVE. Currently, 8 of our movers have been with us 3 years or more, 3 have been with us over 6 years and Frank and Stuart have been with  BESTMOVE almost 15 years! (Thanks guys!) All of our guys have the rare ability to work hard, doing one of the most physically challenging jobs on earth, and keep a great attitude with a smile on their faces!


Moving from Denver to this area was a nightmare, but once we got here, 
Best Move moved all of our stuff from the Pod into the house and did an AMAZING job!

Our move with  BESTMOVE was great! They did extra stuff that we didn’t expect, like putting our mattresses into bags and shrink wrapping our sofas and chairs and didn’t charge anything extra! My move with  BESTMOVE was my best moving experience ever! I tend to get very nervous when taking on big projects like moving. I must have called Lyn 10 times or more with different questions before the move and he was unbelievably patient with me and reassured me that he and his Nephews would “treat me like family” and that my move would go smooth!   I liked it when he said they could be “a back-up” for me in case I didn’t finish the packing or if I couldn’t find the right box for something or needed storage or whatever! My husband really liked the way they treated “his baby” (his 65” LCD TV). They wrapped it with a flannel cover, then shrink wrapped it and put it in a special cart! Thanks to  BESTMOVE the carpets at the house that we’re renting are looking like NEW againWe have a small dog who has accidents every now and again… and even our own water vacuum that we purchased for this reason couldn’t get the stains out… Jesse, from  BESTMOVEworked on the carpets, also with high traffic areas, until the stains absolutelyDISAPPEARED! Most companies are in and out within minutes and the dark areas come back within just a few hours... mine have not come back! I wanted to thank you for a picture perfect move! As you know, my husband had to be in New York for his work, and had to leave 2 weeks before the move. I was basically having to plan and prepare for this move by myself! You guys were so reassuring and calm and told me everything would be OK. You were there to answer all my silly questions, and I thank you for that! I was taking on all the packing and organizing myself, and it was a bit overwhelming. When you told me that you would send two of your guys over, a couple of days before the move, to help me with any last minute things I might of forgot, (I forgot a lot!) and make sure that everything was totally ready for move day, I was so relived! And when you told me it was my goodbye gift and didn't charge me, I almost started to cry! I can't thank you enough! You guys are so honest and so fair that I had to write this letter to thank you.
